
Geneviève Larouche
PhD Advisor in Population Health Surveillance Sub-Ministry of Prevention and Public Health, Ministry of Health and Social Services (MSSS)
Geneviève Larouche holds a Bachelor’s in Pharmacology from the Université de Sherbrooke (2009) and a PhD in Pharmacoepidemiology from Université Laval (2016). Since 2018, she has worked as an Advisor in the Direction de la surveillance, de la mesure et du suivi en santé publique at the Ministry of Health and Social Services. She has played an active role in developing the Système d’information des événements démographiques, which enables the electronic filing of death certificates—a system deployed across Quebec on September 20, 2022. Since 2025, she has been responsible for the public health monitoring and measurement component within the same directorate.
