Tsanta Sen Chen
Community Organizer, Réseau d’aide aux personnes seules et itinérantes de Montréal (RAPSIM)
Tsanta Sen Chen works with the Réseau d’aide aux personnes seules et itinérantes de Montréal (RAPSIM), where she oversees health-related files through a holistic, community-based approach focused on promotion, prevention, harm reduction, and aging. Her role aligns with RAPSIM’s mission to advocate for a comprehensive, rights-based approach that recognizes homelessness as a structural and preventable issue.
Through collaboration, research, and advocacy, she contributes to documenting the impacts of living conditions, public policies, and social inequalities on the health and mortality of people experiencing homelessness.

Collaboration and partnership have always been core values and structuring practices of the RAPSIM. Conducting this research project in partnership makes it possible to combine scientific, community, and experiential knowledge, and to ground the work in the realities experienced in the field.
